The TTBDO successfully conducted the webinar Technology Readiness Level (TRL) via Zoom and Facebook Live. This event aimed to promote the advancement of technologies with high Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs)—innovations that are sufficiently developed to undergo further testing, validation, and demonstration in relevant environments, paving the way for commercialization and market deployment.

The webinar featured Dr. Melvin Pasaporte as the resource speaker, a distinguished researcher and Chief Science Research Specialist with a wealth of experience in technology development and project management. Dr. Pasaporte has been instrumental in leading impactful initiatives, including the DOST-LiDAR program, which significantly advanced geospatial mapping in the Philippines, and UP Mindanao’s Lactic Acid Project, which focuses on sustainable and innovative solutions for the food industry.

A proud alumnus of UP Mindanao, Dr. Pasaporte exemplifies excellence in education and research. He earned his BS in Food Technology, a Master in Management, and a PhD in Development Studies from the university, making him a testament to the potential of UP Mindanao graduates in driving impactful innovations.
