DOST Science for change (S4CP focuses on accelerated R&D program for capacity building of R&D institutions and industrial competitiveness) visits University of Philippines Mindanao Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO).
DOST S4CP team was headed by USEC. Rowena Cristina L. Guevara took a review of technology developed by UP Mindanao under the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD)Program, the Lactic Acid Fermentation and Purification Project by the Chief Scientist Dr.Melvin Pasaporte. The guests had an ocular tour at the Lactic Acid Laboratory as Dr. Pasaporte presented the highly sophisticated equipment that was donated by Monde Nissin, the industry Partner of the project. And a quick demonstration of the lactic acid processes was made by Dr. Pasaporte.
