Municipality of Cantilan is now GEOPINDOT Ready!

"OBXS IT Solutions- a DOST-UP Mindanao supported startup, conducted a pilot testing and simulation exercise of GeoPindot App in the Municipality of Cantilan, Surigao Del Sur, on April 6-8, 2021. The said startup is founded by Arnel Arreglado, Necta Fewee Arreglado, and Jolito Rico, who are part of the UP Mindanao Growing and Developing Enterprises (UPGRADE) Cohort 1 incubation program.
The activity was participated by the personnel of Cantilan Emergency Operations Center, PNP, PCG, Barangay Disaster Response Team, and a few Barangay Officials.

"GeoPindot is an offline mobile application that helps citizens report an emergency or disaster situation to a local government’s emergency response unit to seek help or assistance. It allows an LGU to track a citizen’s location in times of emergency instantaneously.
Another component of GeoPindot is its command center installed to an LGU facility where all citizens’ emergency notifications will be transmitted. This facility manages emergency cases’ deployment to an appropriate response team. "
