From Innovation to Impact: Squid Cubes Technology Shines at UIF Batch 9 Demo Day Pitching

UP Mindanao Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO) proudly shares that the Squid Cubes Technology, led by Ma. Lyn C. Torres, MSc., with Dr. Noreen Fundador as its thesis adviser and Principal Investigator, was selected as one of the eighteen (18) semi-finalists for the University Innovation Awards (UPIA) under the University Innovation Fellowship (UIF) Program – Batch 9, from 60 technologies nominated across the UP Constituent Units.
The technology will receive ₱450,000.00 in support of its continued development and innovation efforts. The recognition was announced during the UIF Batch 9 Demo Day Pitching, organized by the UP System Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO) and participated in by innovation teams from across the UP System.
The UIF Program brings together innovation teams from across the UP System to advance promising university technologies. Throughout the program, participants underwent training, mentoring, consultations, validation, and innovation development activities aimed at strengthening their technologies and exploring pathways toward real-world applications.
