IMPACT 

The IMPACT: Establishment of Technology Management System at UP Mindanao is a UP Mindanao TTBDO Project granted under the IP Management Program for Academic Institutions Commercializing Technologies (IMPACT) of the Department of Science and Technology- Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD). 

With this grant, UP Mindanao is given the opportunity and resources to effectively address its challenges on technology transfer, specifically, on IP protection and commercialization. The general objective of this project is to strengthen the capacities of Intellectual Property (IP) and Technology Business Management of the UP Mindanao Technology Transfer and Business Development Office (TTBDO) to secure more of its intellectual property assets and enhance its technology commercialization activities. Specifically, this project aims to establish IMPACT Project unit and sustainability plan for the project, capacitate TTBDO personnel and faculty and researchers on technology management, increase awareness of faculty and researches on technology transfer, and establish/ expand linkages and networks to intensify technology transfer of technologies with commercial potential.
